Skillcrown and Golding Homes shortlisted for Kent Housing Group Excellence Awards

8th June 2026

We are delighted to share that Ringside Revival: A Community Fightback, our social value partnership with Golding Homes, has been shortlisted at this year’s Kent Housing Group Excellence Awards.

The project has been recognised in the Excellent Partnership category, celebrating the collaborative effort to support and transform Maidstone Amateur Boxing Club, a valued grassroots club that provides a safe, positive and inclusive space for young people and families in the local community.

Ringside Revival was created to help protect and improve an important community facility at a time when many local families are facing increasing financial pressures.  Working alongside Golding Homes, local supporters and our supply chain partners, Skillcrown helped deliver a package of improvements that included a new competition-grade boxing ring, upgraded flooring, new lighting, air conditioning, roof repairs, internal redecoration, external improvements and new training equipment.

Maidstone Amateur Boxing Club supports more than 100 regular young members and plays an important role in helping young people build confidence, fitness, resilience and self-discipline.  For many, the club is much more than a place to train. It is a source of belonging, mentorship and stability.

Being shortlisted in the Excellent Partnership category is a proud moment for everyone involved.  It reflects the strength of collaboration between Skillcrown, Golding Homes, Maidstone Amateur Boxing Club, local partners and the wider supply chain, all working together to deliver meaningful and lasting community benefit.

We are also pleased to see Golding Homes shortlisted in two further categories, with their Damp, Condensation and Mould team recognised in the Excellence in Asset Management category and their Home Energy and Water Advice Service shortlisted in the Innovator of the Year category.

We wish all shortlisted teams the very best of luck ahead of the awards ceremony in September.
