We are passionate about inspiring the next generation of construction professionals and providing clear pathways into the industry. As part of this commitment, we are proud to work in partnership with Mid Kent College’s Construction T-Level course, supporting students as they take their first steps towards building meaningful and rewarding careers.
To give students a full picture of the industry, we have delivered a series of presentations and engagement sessions, introducing them to Skillcrown, the projects we deliver, and the crucial role our teams play in shaping communities. These sessions also provide valuable insights into the many different career paths available within the business - from land and planning, through to design, procurement, quantity surveying, site management and beyond - helping students understand how each discipline contributes to the successful delivery of a development.
T-level placements
Beyond the classroom, we are currently offering two T-Level placements, each providing over 300 hours of supervised experience. These structured placements give students the opportunity to divide their time between live construction sites and our head office, ensuring they gain both practical, hands-on knowledge and exposure to the commercial, technical and design elements that underpin the industry.
On site, students work alongside our delivery teams, observing and contributing to real-time project activity, learning first-hand about site operations, health and safety and the collaborative nature of construction. At head office, they are immersed in the planning and decision-making processes that shape every project, broadening their knowledge across multiple specialisms and strengthening their professional confidence.
Through this partnership, we aim to equip young people with the skills, knowledge and experience they need to thrive in construction, while also helping to raise awareness of the diverse and rewarding career opportunities the industry has to offer. By investing in future talent today, we are laying the foundations for a stronger, more skilled workforce tomorrow.
