Building Foundations for New Beginnings in Bromley
At Skillcrown, delivering high-quality homes is only part of our responsibility. We are equally committed to delivering meaningful social value - creating positive, lasting impact within the communities in which we build.
As part of this ongoing commitment, we recently partnered with local charity Bromley Homeless to donate a collection of essential kitchen starter packs for individuals moving from temporary accommodation into permanent homes.

For many people rebuilding their lives after experiencing homelessness, securing accommodation is a significant milestone - but moving in with few or no possessions can make that transition overwhelming. Our starter packs, containing everyday essentials such as kettles, saucepans, frying pans, crockery and cooking utensils, are designed to provide practical support at a critical moment. These simple but vital items help turn an empty space into a functioning home.
Bromley Homeless provides emergency accommodation and tailored support to people across the London Borough of Bromley, helping individuals access shelter, casework support and pathways into sustainable housing. Their work plays a vital role in strengthening the local community and supporting long-term independence.
The handover took place at Bromley United Reformed Church, where the charity is based, marking a meaningful collaboration that reflects our wider approach to social value - building partnerships that go beyond construction and contribute to real community outcomes.
Matt Arnold, Land & Development Director at Skillcrown, commented:-
“As a Bromley-based business, we believe strongly in supporting the communities in which we live and work. Moving into a new home should represent a positive step forward, but for many people it can be an overwhelming experience without the most basic household essentials. We are proud to support Bromley Homeless in the incredible work they do locally and we hope these starter packs will make a meaningful difference as individuals begin their next chapter.”
At Skillcrown, social value is not an afterthought - it is embedded in the way we operate. Whether through community partnerships, charitable support, local employment opportunities or responsible development, we are committed to ensuring that every project leaves a positive legacy.
By working alongside organisations such as Bromley Homeless, we continue to strengthen connections, support resilience and help create communities where people can thrive.
