Welcoming Rio to Skillcrown: Supporting the Next Generation of Construction Professionals

Skillcrown is pleased to welcome Rio, our latest T-Level placement student from MidKent College, who has joined the team at our Corbens Place project in Maidstone.

The project, which we are delivering for Maidstone Borough Council, is providing Rio with the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of a live construction environment. Over the course of his 300-hour supervised placement, he will learn more about the people, processes and skills involved in delivering new homes, while gaining valuable practical experience alongside our site team.

Supporting the next generation of construction professionals is an important part of Skillcrown’s approach to social value. We are passionate about creating clear pathways into the industry and giving young people the opportunity to understand the wide range of careers available within construction.

By combining classroom learning with meaningful experience on live projects, we hope to help students develop their knowledge, confidence and understanding of the industry.

We are delighted to have Rio as part of the Corbens Place team and look forward to supporting him throughout his placement as he develops his skills and gains a greater understanding of a career in construction.
