Skillcrown Supports Cartridge Recycling Initiative
14th May 2026

As part of our office clear-out ahead of our upcoming refurbishment, the Skillcrown team uncovered a number of surplus printer cartridges that were no longer needed.
Rather than simply disposing of them, we looked into more responsible ways to put them to good use. Following a bit of research, the cartridges were donated through the cartridges4charity programme, which helps ensure surplus cartridges are repurposed rather than sent to landfill.
We were pleased to learn that, as a result of this donation, 87 anti-mosquito nets will be produced and distributed by the Against Malaria Foundation. These nets will help protect communities from malaria, a preventable disease that continues to affect many lives around the world.
It’s a fantastic outcome from something that only just avoided the bin. It also serves as a reminder that small, practical actions can still make a meaningful difference.
At Skillcrown, we’re always looking for ways to reduce waste, support positive social outcomes and make more responsible choices in the way we operate. This was a simple step, but one we’re proud to have taken.
