Skillcrown shortlisted for three Inside Housing Development Awards

15th October 2026

Skillcrown is delighted to have been shortlisted across three categories at the Inside Housing Development Awards 2026, recognising two of our major housing projects in Maidstone.

The awards celebrate some of the best housing and regeneration projects from across the UK, and this year Skillcrown has been recognised for both Fielding Park, delivered in partnership with Golding Homes, together with Wilberforce House and Len Martin Court, delivered with Maidstone Borough Council.

Fielding Park recognised in two categories

Fielding Park has been shortlisted in both:-
•    Best Partnership: 101–500 homes
•    Best Mixed-Use Development including Residential: London and South East

The scheme is being delivered through a close working relationship between Skillcrown and Golding Homes, with Martin Arnold Surveyors also playing an important role in helping bring the development forward.

Phase 1 has now been completed, delivering 91 apartments and 28 houses, alongside new landscaping, communal areas and wider public realm improvements.

Phase 2 is continuing to progress and will provide a further 28 houses and 29 apartments.

The double shortlisting is particularly pleasing as it recognises both the quality of the development itself and the partnership approach that has underpinned its delivery.

The relationship between Skillcrown and Golding Homes has also extended beyond the construction of new homes, including wider community initiatives such as Ringside Revival, demonstrating the broader social value that can be achieved through long-term partnership working.

Wilberforce House and Len Martin Court shortlisted for Best Affordable Housing Development

Skillcrown has also been shortlisted alongside Maidstone Borough Council in the Best Affordable Housing Development – Urban up to 21m category for Wilberforce House and Len Martin Court.

Together, the two schemes have delivered 43 one and two-bedroom affordable apartments and form part of Maidstone Borough Council’s wider programme to increase the supply of high-quality affordable housing across the borough.

Wilberforce House has transformed the former Bath Store site on Tonbridge Road, while Len Martin Court forms the first completed phase of the wider Corbens Place development.

Both projects have been delivered through a strong working relationship between Skillcrown, Maidstone Borough Council and calfordseaden, and their shortlisting is a welcome recognition of the collaborative effort involved in bringing the schemes through to completion.

The winners of the awards will be announced in November.

For Skillcrown, however, being shortlisted in three categories is already a strong reflection of the work being delivered across Maidstone and the partnerships that continue to support it.
