Skillcrown secures Erith development contract with Orbit Housing

We are excited to boost our development programme by securing a contract with Orbit Housing, to deliver 12, two-bed apartments and four, three-bedroom houses in Erith, all for affordable rent.  

The development is located at St John’s Hall, West Street, in walking distance to Erith’s mainline train station.  Although the project is now underway, it did have its challenges, with work delayed for nearly two years until the Town Hall and Scout Hut, moved to their new multi-purpose premises.

After such a long process, it was a great relief to get this project over the line,” said Kevin Clark, Land & Business Development Director at Skillcrown.  “We have just begun the demolition works and are looking forward to bringing new affordable housing to the area.”

We will be achieving Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 for the development’s sustainability performance. The houses will all have gardens and parking, while the apartments all offer associated parking. Each apartment will also have its own private balcony.
