Skillcrown secures build contract in New Malden, London

Here at Skillcrown, we are delighted to have secured our latest build contract, Albany House, on behalf of our long-standing client, Wandle. Situated in New Malden, South West London, the development will comprise 41 modern flats: 36 for shared ownership and five rented units.

The project will be built over five storeys and include 25 car parking and 63 cycle store spaces for residents. The accommodation will benefit commuters, as it is in close proximity to excellent transport links from Motspur Park and Raynes Park Station, both of which provide frequent Southwestern railway services into Central London and Surrey. Many of the flats will have stylish Juliette balconies, providing plenty of natural light from the floor to ceiling windows. Construction of the project will commence in January 2018 and is expected to be completed by the start of 2020.

“We are thrilled to have secured another project with Wandle” says Kevin Clark, Skillcrown’s Land and Business Development Director. “We were able to offer Wandle the comfort of a fixed build price which ultimately secured the deal. As always, we look forward to providing first-rate accommodation for the future occupants.”

“Having worked with Skillcrown in the past, we are confident in their ability to deliver an exceptional development,” says Pete Beggan, Land Manager at Wandle. “We are pleased that we will be able to offer the majority of homes in Albany House for shared ownership, enabling a more viable option for people who want to get onto the property ladder.”
