Skillcrown completes affordable housing development in Belvedere

Skillcrown is delighted to have successfully completed work on our latest new affordable housing development with 26 apartments in Belvedere, south east London, for Moat Homes.

The part four-, part five-storey building in Nuxley Road, contains one-, two- and three-bedroom high quality apartments, with associated parking, landscaping and improvements to the public realm.

Located in the heart of Belvedere, residents will benefit from a variety of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities on their doorstep and excellent transport links, with the main railway station only a short walk away, offering regular trains into central London in just 30 minutes.

Construction on the development, which is situated on the site of the former Belvedere Police Station, began in 2019. The existing building had been unoccupied since the station closed in 2015 and councillors agreed that the plans submitted for the new development would help regenerate a dilapidated site.

All 26 apartments in the development are being offered for affordable rent with Moat Homes, supplying much-needed new homes for families and professionals in a well-connected area of south east London.

“We are delighted to have completed another successful development with Moat Homes,” said Skillcrown Managing Director, Salik Osman, “with London house prices at an all-time high, it’s important that there are affordable options and we’re proud to be able to boost the affordable housing stock in and around the capital with schemes such as this one.”
