Community Project: Farnborough Tennis Club

Here at Skillcrown we are delighted to reveal our latest community project – a new terrace and three planting areas at Farnborough Tennis Club. Skillcrown’s Managing Director, Salik Osman unveiled the new terrace on Saturday 21 July to members of the public ‘Final’s Day’, as well as, presenting a trophy to the winners of the Men’s Doubles.

We have supported Farnborough Tennis Club for a number of years and were pleased to be asked to install a new terrace area to enhance the clubs outdoor environment. Taking just under two weeks to complete the Skillcrown team removed the existing terrace, which had been in place for 35 years, before laying the new paving. This included three raised bedding areas to brighten up and improve the visual aspect of the space.

“Farnborough Tennis committee is very grateful to Skillcrown for renovating the terrace area at the club, which will greatly benefit members whilst they relax and watch their fellow players on the court.  The new terrace replaces the existing rundown forecourt which looked out of place alongside the new clubhouse. The generosity of Skillcrown who undertook the work gratis has not gone unnoticed by all involved with the club. The overall effect can also be seen outside the club benefiting the local community.” Farnborough Tennis Committee.

Salik comments on the big reveal following the match, “It was a great pleasure to be asked to be part of the Finals Day and to officially launch the terrace area to guests immediately after the  men’s doubles match. The feedback was very positive and we hope everyone involved with the club will enjoy the terrace and planting area for many years to come.”
